Pandemic Projects Part 2 - Knitting

Pandemic Projects Part 2 - Knitting

I have a great source for yarn, and my stash proves it. One of my goals for my time at home was to “stash-down” - use up as much of my existing yarn as possible. Weaving is a great yarn consumer, but knitting is my OG fiber craft.

I really knit only for gifts, and I enjoy it most if I have a specific recipient in mind. I love to think about the person who will receive the item, hoping the colors and design will appeal. I knew I had a home-run in a cable knit sweater with a DNA double helix pattern knitted for my biochemist husband.

Since he was working from home, I couldn’t keep this one a surprise, however. No matter- he loves it!

Other projects were for my grandson, my daughter and even for myself (more on that to follow).
